I love hot weather, but as I headed to the office today I wished it were in the 70's today in Southern California.
Oh hey, Southern California in the 70's!
I think of old pickups trucks, flower print skirts, and Mary Janes.
I have these amazing green and brown Mary Janes by American Eagle I got from Pay-less a few years ago.
A boy picked them out for me believe it or not, and they're super comfy!
But being olive green and brown, and Mary Janes, they're not easily paired with anything! I always thought Mary Janes were for little girls, and to be able to wear them to work was only a fantasy. sigh.
The shoe works well with this pretty print skirt (thrift store!) and a fitted white T from Wet Seal. The feminine little lace camisole underneath helps glam it up a tad without over powering the rest of the attire.
Pictured is my grandpa's old 75' Datsun Pickup. You could hear this beast coming from a mile away, causing my hair to go into mayhem with the windows down (no A/C!) But I loved sitting on the warm bench seats in the summer after a trip to the frigid grocery store.
What do you think of Mary Janes?
What would you wear them with?

I think I would love to post it on the Family Group Web Site as a tribute to Grandpa... He'd be so proud of you... as am I.
Can I have your shoes? I know they'd never fit me, but maybe I can just display them on a shelf or something. Ha ha!... Seriously, can I?
