Last Thursday I had the pleasure (and by pleasure I mean amazing opportunity!!) to attend the Young Hollywood Awards presented by Bing!
Having never been to one of these events, I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arrival I walked out onto the red carpet, where press and paparazzi alike greeted each other and we took our places on the press platform - right behind Glamour magazine! It was way cool. When the stars begin to arrive, it was so neat to stand merrily feet from them as they answered questions and posed for photos.
The show and after party were wonderful! Among the well deserved awards were Sophia Busch - Philanthropist of the Year, Aubrey Plaza (Hysterical!) - Breakthrough Performance, and Alex Pettyfer (Hottie) - Male Superstar of Tomorrow. The most touching award in my opinion was given to Ginnifer Goodwin, for Style Icon, presented by her "BFF" Whitney Cummings who gave a hilarious presentation before hand. Oh, and they sat about 10 feet from me at the awards show! If you followed my instagram (@jillianbird) you would have seen some pictures of Dev, and Rico Rodriguez from Modern Family - Ed O'Neill presented their award!!!
These stars got to experience their #MyBingMoment as part of Bing!'s summer campaign - the summer of doing - to encourage stars and the populous alike to get out and do something. I love this idea, because sometimes all we need is that little shuv or inspiration from someone we admire, to get off the couch and experience LIFE!
Of course there was an after party, open bar, and a myriad of beautifully dressed young people in attendance. The place (Hollywood Athletic Club) was done up in So Cal casual yet classy style. Loved the entire experience.

H&M Semi-Peplum puddy colored dress, a Neon Glam Necklace, and Black Velvet Platform heels. Enjoy the photos!
